An Angel of the Lord visited Mary and Joseph at the barn where Jesus was born. He said to them, "You must circumcise Jesus immediately!" Mary replied, "but Lord it has not been 8 days yet!" Joseph chimed in, "it is not lawful for us to do so." The Angel then said, "Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed." So Mary agreed, took a small knife in her right hand and held His member in her left. But just as she began moving in, little baby Jesus spoke and said, "Woman, what have I to do with thee?"
